About
me I am a software developer based in Kirkland, WA. I work for Microsoft Corporation, which I joined after graduating from Lafayette College in May this year (2005). At Lafayette, I majored in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mathematics. I graduated with honors in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a two-part thesis titled 'Pruning Algorithm to Reduce the Search Space of the Smith-Waterman Algorithm & Kernel Extensions to the Micro-C/OS-II Real-Time Operating System' (pdf). At Microsoft, I work for the Windows Device Experience Group and closely with the Device Management and Installation team. To the outside world, we are the "Plug and Play" guys. While not at work, I enjoy cooking, television, movies and racquetball. I love the Northwest for its natural beauty and an emphasis on the arts, but I could do with a little more sunshine around here! |

Research
Interests I am interested in computation theory (such as complexity analysis of algorithms and optimization problems), abstract mathematics and number theory. Crtyptography holds a special place in my heart but due to lack to time, I haven't been able to read up on the topic much. I subscribe to journals and read articles related to the above topics on a frequent basis. Graduate school is a possibility in the future, but for now I'm getting to know my job better. |
